How long have we...

...used stamps? Known that the sun is at the center of our solar system? Used mouth wash? Driven cars?

Maybe you know the answers to some of these questions. And maybe, like me, you've been supriced by how long (or short) a time we have known about, or used, what may be thought of as everyday items and consepts. And that you come to the realisation that everything was, at one point, invented or discovered.
